Bethel High School senior Erik Gallegos Perez just made history. Representatives from Tacoma Public Utilities recently visited BHS to offer Erik a coveted pre-apprenticeship position starting this July, making him the youngest electrical trainee ever accepted into the program.

At last week’s School Board meeting, the Department of Elementary Teaching and Learning reviewed the process behind choosing a new elementary ELA curriculum, which culminated in the selection of Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) by Amplify, which was approved by the Board.
