Monthly Academic Progress
Monthly Progress
At the end of each month, teachers report student progress in each subject course based on the Monthly Progress Statement. The purpose of sharing this progress is to inform parents/guardians of students' progress in their courses and does not indicate that students will meet grade-level standards at the end of each semester. If a student is marked as having unsatisfactory progress, an intervention plan will be created with the student, learning coach, and classroom teacher.
Satisfactory progress is defined as completing 1-2 graded assignments per course/subject per week in the MAJORITY of the student’s courses/subjects unless the student is on a modified Written Student Learning Plan (WSLP). Students should turn in work regularly - not bank up assignments. This is the MINIMUM requirement to stay enrolled at BVA and may not result in a student meeting standards or passing the course.
