Monthly Academic Progress
Monthly Progress
At the end of each month, teachers report student progress in each subject course based on the Monthly Progress Statement. The purpose of sharing this progress is to inform parents/guardians of students' progress in their courses and does not indicate that students will meet grade-level standards at the end of each semester. If a student is marked as having unsatisfactory progress, an intervention plan will be created with the student, learning coach, and classroom teacher.
Satisfactory Progress is defined as students completing 1-2 assignments per class per week unless the student is on a modified SLP. While completing 1-2 assignments in each course shows progress, it is not the level of work necessary to show understanding and mastery of essential grade-level standards. Student work should also be submitted DAILY or by the end of the week at the latest. Work should not be "banked" and submitted all at once at the end of the month.
